Since being assigned to Child Abuse
Investigations in 1980, I have been learning about this difficult field of
investigations on a day to day basis. I have been instructing in this area
since that time to all disciplines. I have collected information and
photos from case files which were my responsibility as well as other
professionals in the field.
Attendees to my presentation will learn
all related areas of investigating Child Abuse, such as: Neglect, Physical
Abuse, Dynamics of fractures, Drug Endangered Children, Factitious Reporting
Disorder (Munchausen by Proxy) Forensic Odontology, Death Investigation, Failure
to Thrive and many other types of abuse. Several variations of this
outline are available to interested parties. The presentation can last
from one to eight hours depending on the needs of the learners. The class
can be extended to two days with the second day to include Cognitive Interview
and Confrontational Interrogation Techniques as they apply to Child Abuse
Investigations.
